Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion definition

Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion is an Additive Manufacturing (AM) process, building parts in a layer-by-layer fashion.  It is distinct from other Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) technologies in that the energy source driving the fusion process is an electron beam.  As a result, the process is exclusively used with metal powders capable of readily transferring an electric charge.
