Choosing the best plastic material for your 3D printed project shouldn’t be left to chance. Though plastics share similar chemical make-ups, the various forms have unique characteristics that make them suitable for some projects and unsuitable for others. Plastic materials are comprised of long-chain molecules (known as polymers). They are transparent or colored. Some plastics are rubbery, others are rigid. Plastic comes as filament, sheets, rods, hexes, pipes, cubes, balls, and tubes.
