Commercially Pure Titanium Casting

Commercially Pure Titanium Casting Service

Rapid Turn Casting Service to Support Demanding Applications

Commercially Pure Titanium casting is offered through 3Diligent’s metal casting service. Sometimes referred to as CPTi or CP Ti, Commercially Pure Titanium is the term used to describe titanium alloys more than 99.5% pure titanium with trace representation of other metals.

3Diligent works with several grades of commercially pure titanium. Among them, Grade 1 is the softest titanium, providing excellent ductility and corrosion resistance benefits. It is well suited to cold forming and welding. It delivers excellent impact toughness, and a high strength-to-weight ratio. It is used across various industries, including maritime, medical, and industrial. Grade 2 provides excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. It is not as easily formed as Grade 1, but offers higher degrees of strength.

Commercially Pure Titanium is commonly juxtaposed against Titanium 64, which is the most commonly utilized titanium alloy on the planet. Ti64 is decidedly harder and stronger than CPTi, with a much smaller elongation at break (14% vs. 24%).
