3Diligent has many manufacturing options to meet your every sheet fabrication need such as our thermoforming service.
Thermoforming Service Process Overview
The 3Diligent thermoforming service is a manufacturing process where plastic sheets are heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape by a male or female mold, cooled, and trimmed to create a usable product.
Our thermoforming service falls into two categories: vacuum forming and pressure forming. In the vacuum forming process, heat and pressure are applied in order to make the plastic more malleable when placed over the mold. The vacuum is applied to manipulate the plastic, create a better adherence to the mold, and ensure a better end product. The pressure process is similar to the vacuum process but the addition of pressure provides for increased detail and texture finishes.
